           D) Cart/Captioning (click here for the Cart/Captioning training program outline.)

Program A, Court Reporter Training with Theory, (A101), is designed for a student who is entering as a new entry into the court reporting curriculum, with no previous foundation.  The student will begin with learning the keyboard, and completing a 4-month theory course, before being eligible to enter into the speedbuilding, academic, and professional curricula offered by BRSCR.   Note:  Students will need to provide their own steno equipment (new or used).  We recommend Stenograph’s Stentura  SRT 200 and Stentura SRT 400 Shorthand Machines for entry into this program (many available vendors), as well as the Student Theory Textbooks.

Program B, Court Reporter Training without Theory, (B201), is designed for a student who has already successfully completed a recognized theory program, whether online or at a court reporting institution.  The speed writing entry level is at 40 wpm, and the student will enter directly into the speedbuilding, academic and professional curricula offered by BRSCR.

Note:  Students will need a laptop computer for entry into this program.
